If YOU are a Finnish contemporary comic artist or work on the field you may apply for the membership of Kutikuti. Apply with a free-form application via email or normal post to the address above. However, you must include your contact information, explain a little bit of your background and aims as a comic artist plus contain samples of your comic works (screen-resolution JPG or PDF required). There are no application rounds. The board of Kutikuti decides on new members twice a year. Each applicant will be contacted in both cases (acceptance or refusal). Remember that Kutikuti is an association devoted to contemporary comic art. We do not support mainstream or entertainment art or work in the field of illustration. We do not value your work by quantity but by artistic quality. Kutikuti is an association of professional contemporary comic artists but we also want to support talented new-comers to become such. Kutikuti’s membership costs 50 € per year. The membership includes a subscription to the Kuti newspaper, possibility to join our activity, such as exhibitions and publications (not automatic, each curated separately) and our work with exporting Finnish comic art. We also expect our members to take part in actual work and decision-making. Our base and strength is in collective work and we want to keep it that way.
Kutikuti association membership is available for Finnish contemporary comic artists and contemporary comic artists living in Finland.
